Our pick ups of mason bees are over for the spring season of 2017. As the weather has been cold so far this spring, flowers have been slow to appear. If you have an early blooming fruit tree that you would like to try to get pollinated, go ahead and put your tubes of bees out. The bees need at least 3 days of 60 degree weather to be triggered to hatch, so they may or may not come out early enough this year to pollinate early plums or asian pear trees.
If your fruit trees are not in bloom yet, wait until we send out word by email to put your bees out. We are anticipating sometime over the next week. If you have already put your bees out, don't worry! They most likely have not hatched yet as temperatures have remained in the low 50s.
Please email us if you have any questions and happy spring!!
