News update from Rent Mason Bees

This year, we have partnered with ten different farms in central California to pollinate organic almonds, apricots and kiwis. The recent storms and flooding in California have taken a massive toll on honey bee populations and many honey bees are simply stuck in their hives waiting for the weather to pass. Luckily, our hearty mason bees are still out pollinating because they don’t mind the wind and rain! The vital role of mason bees in our agricultural industry has never been more apparent.

Having enough rental participants to host bees enables us to work with more farmers along the west coast to promote sustainable and conscientious farming practices. Because of your support, we are able to pollinate hundreds of acres of fruit in Washington, Oregon and California with the very bees that you raise in your backyard. There is no other company out there that can make the same claim and we would not be able to do what we do without the support of our community.

We thank you for your continued support of Rent Mason Bees and look forward to seeing you later this month!
