When you come to pick up your mason bees, they will be in cocoon, in a pvc pipe with caps. Once you get home you will put them out in your yard and depending on weather, they will hatch out in a few days to a few weeks. When you return the bees, the generation of bees that you hatched will have completed their lifecycle, and you will be returning their offspring (in egg form) to us in the nesting block behind the plugged holes. Behind each mud plug will be somewhere from 5-10 developing bees. There may be a few bees still flying in the beginning of June, but their lifecycle is almost over and they will find alternative nesting sites in your yard.
