Leafcutter Bee Insert- Shipped To Your Home
SUMMER LEAFCUTTER BEES
Similar to mason bees, leafcutter bees are solitary, lay eggs in holes and are incredible pollinators. They are our Summer bees that pollinate from May – August.
We will mail you a nesting block of 100-150 leafcutter bees still slumbering inside. You simply set the nesting block inside the black bee house and wait for temperatures to reach 75 degrees for 21 days or more before they emerge.
Don't have a bee house already? Rent our leafcutter bee kit that can be shipped to your door. Select your desired ship date and your bees will be mailed to you by USPS priority mail.
Please note that customers receiving their bees by mail located east of the Rocky Mountains will be charged an additional $25 shipping charge.
These docile bees will fly during the summer pollinating your summer vegetable gardens and flower beds. By September, when the next generation of leafcutter bees is developing in the blocks we will send you a reminder to mail the nesting block back to our facility in NW Washington State. We will clean the nesting blocks, make sure the developing bees are healthy and protected, and the bees you grow in your backyard will then be taken to local farms to pollinate crops that end up in our grocery stores.
Kit Includes - This kit will include 100-150 leafcutter bees inside a nesting block and a return label that you can use to send your bees back at the end of the season.
You will receive a leafcutter bee nesting block that has the leafcutter bees inside of it. The bees will not hatch until they have been in temperatures of 75 degrees F for at least 21 days. If you have mason bees, wait until they are done flying before you swap out your bee blocks.
